The boy with the glasses and grey hair has a weird hidden crush on his pal with the red hair and I hate this because it's forced BL that makes no sense. The upperclassmen are so petty and childish, there were multiple episodes of the other teammates BEGGING them to rejoin the team and they were starting drama all because they didn't get the starting positions. He just tries to scream and fight people. All the red head guy does is scream, like he literally has no brain cells. at soccer, but he does nothing stand outish during games.
The lead guy is so bland and they act like he's soooo good It didn't even feel like a sports anime anymore, it felt like a drama romance. I swear there was not one episode where the red head guy didn't try to fight someone, or the other characters were starting drama.
There is ZERO character/team building because the characters fight EVERY SINGLE EPISODE. I would literally be cracking up each episode by how dramatic and over the top it was. This show is so ridiculous its laughable. You can betcha that Ao Ashi blows this out of the water, easily. Hooray for over-the-top BL-ness involving soccer balls to SHOOTO! Doorraayyaahhhhh!!! The real one is infused in every nook and cranny of "I'm lovin' it" levels of insanity and disbelief of how a soccer show can go all-out gayness, overloaded with the fact that everything else was non-existent from the character development, worse than subpar animation, the generic OST.just about everything is plain abominable. Giving us all the cringefest of a soap opera that mixes both human feelings and emotions, and sports altogether to create an experience that'll send your eyes and ears crying and bleeding onion tears to the point that you can't unsee it.įorget about what the synopsis is trying to tell you, it's just a premise.

This is a prime masterpiece example of how to destroy the semblance of the original source material, and for one, Aoki Densetsu Shoot! was at least a decent 90s soccer/football show that exemplifies its existence of anime trying anything to thrive back in its heyday.īut Goal to the Future? More like Gay to the Heartstrings, because whoever was scriptwriting this original show most likely had a penchant Shooto!
